There is a rare kind of clarity available right now—one that doesn’t ask you to push harder, explain more, or fix yourself. It asks you to shed.
To release what no longer fits and finally experience the sense of completion you’ve been waiting for. You are not behind. You are right on time to allow what has reached its natural end to unravel—without forcing, defending, or replaying.
This is an invitation to stop looping through old conversations, past choices, and internalized gaslighting that keeps you feeling “stuck.” Not because those experiences didn’t matter—but because they no longer need to take up space.
So let’s take advantage of this moment. Let’s clear space. Let’s shed.
6 Things to Shed to Make Space for 2026:
1: Self-Abandonment

Overriding the impulse to prioritize others' wellbeing over your own can be uncomfortable at first. Yet, if ever there were a time to recognize self-abandonment as unsustainable, it's NOW. When you honor your experiences as real and your needs as valid, your practices shift. Your choices aren't contingent on being embraced by others. So cheers to embracing yourself in 2026 and recognizing that there is nothing holy about self-neglect. Cultivate a connection to yourself that centers the peace and rest required to meet this moment.
2: Perfectionism
Allow yourself some grace and shed the limits of perfectionism. We can be as rough with ourselves as the systems that harm us. Perfectionism keeps us stuck in vigilance and warps our relationship to ourselves. It requires us to buy into the limiting belief that we have to meet rigid conditions in order to access our worth, safety and belonging. Consider the errors that brought meaningful lessons. Consider the times that you have stumbled off of your path only to find your footing aligned with your purpose. In 2026, we shed the pressure to “get it right” and embrace our full humanity.

3: Over-Explaining
Say less and simplify this year by shedding the impulse to explain. Over-explaining is often perfectionism dressed up as communication. Especially for those who navigate bias, harm, or dismissal- it can be a protective and preventive response to fight, flight, or fawn with words.
Slow down. Conserve your energy. Notice what drives your need to be understood.
Trust your clarity.
Trust your discernment.
And trust that the people who are meant to work and grow with you will hear you—without excess labor. Take up all of your space this year—without apology.
4: Ruminating

Replaying what you already know won't bring resolution—it's draining your energy. Let go of what can’t move forward with you and make space for what can. Repurpose the mental and emotional effort you’ve been pouring into the unresolvable. Examine what keeps pulling you back into cycles that no longer serve you.
You have already reached conclusions.
You have already grieved.
You are already healing.
In 2026, let’s generously forget harms and release those who cannot consider us. We release what cannot meet us well—and make space for the significant and beautiful things that are arriving.
5. Busyness
Slow down and notice what's driving you? Are you measuring your worth based on output. We often equate busyness with our value, safety and productivity, but busyness sometimes signals a trauma response. Constant motion keeps us disconnected from our bodies and ourselves. Examine where you may need to rest and reconnect with yourself. If you're experiencing a drop in clarity, creativity and health, examine where rest supports your memory and executive function. Also, tap into how sleep impacts your hormone regulation, digestion, metabolism and mood.
This year, imagine a kinder path to productivity and consider you may arrive faster by being still.

6. Chasing People
Trust that what’s aligned doesn’t require force.
Examine where you are working overtime to normalize dynamics that require you to betray yourself. Release relationships and dynamics that require you to overextend, shrink our doubt yourself. A theme of 2025 & 2024 was to “let go—or be dragged”, in order to do that we must override the drive to hold onto what doesn't fit;
Open your hands to what's aligned. Open your heart and allow abundance to meets you as you are.

Invitation:
2026 doesn’t need you carrying what has already taught you its lesson.
This is a powerful moment to shed—so you can meet what’s next with clarity, capacity & ease.
You’re not losing anything. You’re making room for what's arriving.
What are you shedding this season? What are you embracing? What cycles have you already let go.
