Intuitive Wellness hosts Labor & Delivery, The 4th Trimester: Postpartum Thursday with Diane Gioioso L.AC. & M.AC. for practitioners, birth workers, doulas, midwives, bodyworkers. We will resume our partner stretching & prenatal and birth support offerings for practitioners & families this coming Fall 2022 with workshops on supporting the mother through specific nutrition and pressure points relevant to each stage of pregnancy & the development of the baby's organ systems. We will offer credited workshops for the First, Second & Third Trimester Care as well as learning forums for expectant mothers & families .
We are pleased to offer Shiatsu Essentials for Friends & Family November & December 2022 as well as for Shiatsu for Practitioners for CEUs in January. Shiatsu for Friends and Family teaches stretches and partner body-working for family and friends. Learn stretches and body work that you can perform anywhere…. in the airport, the gym, at home when someone needs support and relief.

Dr. Niya Werts offers Shiatsu, Acupressure, Massage Therapy, and Japanese Herbology (Kampo). Her intention is to work from the heart to bring you back to center. Dr. Werts is an American Organization of Bodywork Therapies of Asia Certified Practitioner (AOBTA CP) and a Zen Shiatsu Alliance Certified Zen Shiatsu Practitioner (CZSP). She is a graduate of the Japanese Herbology Program of the New York City Kampo Institute. She has taught exercise science, nutrition, health education, and shiatsu at the college and professional levels for over 18 years. She is an Associate Professor of Health Science at the University of Maryland at Baltimore Graduate School.
Camille is an intuitive & deeply attentive teacher & therapist who tailors every session to her client's concerns. Camille's touch is very fluid, strong, intuitive, nurturing & precise. She integrates a broad range of stretching, joint manipulation, cupping, hot stone work & deep-myofascial techniques to effectively release neck, shoulder, hip & low back tension & support headache relief. A committed birth worker, she is committed to Prenatal & Postnatal bodywork in support of healthy pre & post birth & miscarriage transitions. Her approach is shaped by traditions & bodywork learned while living & learning in Thailand, Korea, Morocco, Ethiopia & Japan.

Pileet is a gifted therapist and birth worker, with over 20 years of experience effectively addressing muscle strain, injury and tension relief. Pileet is gifted at resolving shoulder strain & opening and releasing limited range of motion in neck & hip joints. Her authentic & attentive nature disarms anxiety and dissolves inclinations to brace & anticipate discomfort.
Her offerings include therapeutic deep work, lymphatic drainage and massage for grief release & anxiety

R.M.T. Lev has a client-centered, holistic & integral understanding of the body. His work is mindful and remarkably thorough. Enjoy greater freedom of movement and vitality with his 'From the Ground Up' floor stretching & massage. His customized & deep tissue massage employs stretching and breath work for greater joint freedom, optimal release and relief.
R.M.T. Glenda is an energetic, compassionate & highly experienced practitioner with over 18 years of experience practicing deep tissue and myofascial bodywork. She is adept at tailoring essential oil blends to restore & relax clients. Her focuses include oncological bodywork particularly with respect to healing and dissolving post-surgical scar tissue after reconstruction and addressing neuropathy, & other discomforts brought on by chemotherapy and radiation.
Lena Denison, LMT has been practicing massage therapy & energy work for 19 years. She began with an interest in energy work, followed by massage therapy and leading her to study Craniosacral therapy years later. Listening to the body and follow its cues is integral to her practice, allowing her clients to experience being in a deep, healing space. Her practice includes Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Prenatal, Sports Massage, Reiki, Craniosacral Therapy & Hot Stone massage.
Lena's work and intention are impeccable and her clients feel at home both in her care and in their bodies.

Shanna served as the Protocol Specialist for the CDC DSTDP funded Johns Hopkins STD Prevention Training Center (PTC) to provide clinic training on protocol development and implementation.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, reassigned to the outbreak investigation team as a lead infection control advisor. Conducted site visits and advised on infection control in congregate living settings including long term care facilities, homeless shelters, assisted living facilities, substance use rehabilitation centers, and long term care facilities. Reviewed and updated the outbreak team on changes to infection control guidance from the CDC and Maryland Department of Health.
We have not encountered many who care about their patients' wellbeing with the depth that Dr. Li does. He received his education in both Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture and Massage) and an M.D., Ph.D. in Sports Medicine from Beijing University Medical School in China. Dr. Li completed his fellowship training for neuromuscular diseases in School of Medicine at The Johns Hopkins University and has developed unique methods for diagnosing & treating various symptoms of chronic diseases through combining Traditional Chinese Medicine and allopathic medical science. He applies individulaized therapeutic solutions tailored to the needs of each patient to obtain the best result for various conditions. Dr. Li’s goal is to provide the best possible health care to his optimal mind & body wellness.
Sara Dolina is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner who specializes in preconception, health & hormonal balancing. She coaches women who are coming off of hormonal birth control to balance their hormones and guides clients to optimal and balanced nutrition, healthy adrenal and stress responses, and more restorative sleep through nutrition.
Post Pill Project is all about using nutrition and lifestyle changes to support your hormones, establish preconception health and prepare your body for a healthy pregnancy.
Diane Gioioso L.AC & M.AC. Practices acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for those who are seeking change. She has studied Chinese medicine for 26 years and engages full range and depth of the tradition to address health conditions and facilitate spiritual growth. She maintains a general practice and is trained in specialties including – gynecology, fertility and pregnancy, pediatrics, mental/emotional conditions, neurology and dermatology.

Ibrahim offers an attentive & authentic Hatha Yoga instruction to his students. By focusing on the 8 limbs of yoga in a practical way, Ibrahim strives to achieve the true meaning of yoga “union” of the mind & body in his practices. Ibrahim is a 200hr R.Y.T., having trained & studied In Rishikesh, India in 2017. He has appeared on Good Morning America, taught in Juvenile Justice Centers, and Colleges to talk about yoga & mental health in black & brown communities.

Amanda is a clinical social worker who specializes in creating healing spaces for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), particularly black and brown youth and changemakers/activists. She aims to hold space for you as you uncover your most authentic self and create a life that reflects your authenticity. Her approach is gentle, intentional, and honest. Her goal is to support you in navigating your own healing journey. Her clinical approach gravitates toward modalities that are mindfulness-based, client centered and liberation-focused. Some of these include motivational interviewing, meditation/ mindfulness, mind-body medicine tools, parts-based therapy/ inner child work and psychoeducation.

Prenatal massage is offered after the 1st Trimester or 13th week of pregnancy.
Postnatal body work is tailored to support a mother's transitions after labour & delivery & miscarriage. Special attention is given to ilio-sacral & pelvic shifts, and to neck & shoulder strains related to nursing and caring for a newborn. Postnatal work can begin as soon as a mother' feels ready to receive as long as she is not expressing any contraindications to receiving bodywork, such as: preeclampsia, very heavy bleeding, high blood pressure, swelling or disturbed vision or breathing.
